Training Programmes
A very important function of the Network is to undertake capacity building activities by conducting trainings for young cause lawyers representing countries around Asia . The trainings are conducted with the objective of sustaining action for change and to that extent catering to the growing need of a new generation of lawyers skilled in various cause lawyering techniques . There are two forms of Trainings that the ACLN engages with:
Pilot Training Programmes are conducted with the objective of collating and sharing best practices, methods and strategies of cause lawyering on specific issues relating to Gender Equality in the Asian region. Training Modules resulting from such Pilot Training Programmes could in turn be replicated and adopted in member countries for subsequent efforts of mentoring cause lawyers within their jurisdiction.
University Training initiatives are to be undertaken by individual members in their respective countries with support and resource from ACLN.
