Secretariat
The functioning of the Network is achieved through a Secretariat. The Lawyers Collective, a non governmental organisation based in Delhi was elected unanimously by the Steering Committee Members as the Secretariat for the immediate period of two years under the Direction of Ms. Indira Jaising. The Secretariat will undertake responsibilitiy to ensure the following:
- Co-ordination and communication through the Website and Electronic group mailing system.
- Co-ordination and implementation of projects and activities to be undertaken by the Network.
- Engage in capacity building activities through conducting trainings for young cause lawyers representing countries around Asia on the focus issues of the network through training programmes, research and publications.
- Formation and maintenance of a Regional Legal Resource Center documenting Legislation, Regulation, Rules of Court and Case Laws from all countries of Asia.
