Orders passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Health for Millions Vs. Union of India Writ Petition (Civil) 549 of 2008.
The Hon'ble Supreme Court in view of the statement given on behalf of the Government assured that the Packaging and Labeling Rules 2008 will come into force on May 31, 2009 without any further delay
The Hon'ble Supreme Court listed the interlocutory applications for interim relief on May 5, 2009.
The Hon'ble Bench listed the writ petition for final disposal on April 30,2009
Interim application was filed by us seeking no further deferrment on Packaging and Labeling Rules 2008. The Hon'ble Court issued notice in the matter.
ITC filed a short affidavit to oppose the admission of the Writ Petition. But the Hon'ble Court refuted the contentions of ITC and Writ Petition was admitted.
Permission to amend the writ petition was filed in order to bring on record the notification No. 2815(E) dated November 28, 2008. which further delayed the pictorial warning till May 30, 2009.
