Core Group

Domestic Violence Core Group

In keeping with our goal to ensure and monitor effective implementation of the new Domestic Violence law as well as to raise awareness on the issue as the next step of the Campaign, a national Core Group has been formed with various individual lawyers, activists and NGOs working on the issue of domestic violence. The LCWRI is a member of this Core Group. The objective of the Core Group is to create a network of persons and organizations across the country who can exchange information, share strategies and monitor the implementation of the Act at state, regional and national levels. The first meeting of this Core Group took place on the 11th of October 2006 at the Lawyers Collective (WRI) office. The decisions taken at the meeting would form the basis of the future work of the Core Group.

Core Group Electronic Mailing List

The electronic mailing list of the Core Group is called the "Core Group on Implementation of the Domestic Violence Act", on www.googlegroups.com. However, the E-Group is currently restricted only to members of the Group.
