Section 354: HC seeks suggestions on awareness about amendments

The Punjab and Haryana high court has sought suggestions from Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh regarding creating awareness about the implementation of amendments to Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), dealing with crimes against women.

The court directions came during resumed hearing of the petition filed by the Lawyers for Human Rights International (LHRI), seeking directives to ensure proper implementation of the laws relating to crimes against women, especially the amendments introduced on February 3 by the addition of section 354-A, 354-B, 354-C and 354-D of the IPC to ensure that women move out freely in society without any fear.
